It takes you to the overall list of all of the fish included within the Fish of Minnesota: Partial Field Guide. In the original website all of the fish have active links leading you to their respective info pages, but they are NOT active here.
Clicking the "Fish of Minnesota" image at the top of each respective page would bring you back to this home page. This ability is also NOT active here.
Clicking on one of the fish would bring you a page like this below. For the example here we have clicked on the first fish located on the list, the Bluegill, a part of the larger Sunfish family.
At the bottom of the page above you may notice the line stating "view family". On the website, this is an active link that brings you to the list of all the fish, in the partial field guide, which are a part of the same overall species family. An example of what it looks like when that link has been selected from the "Bluegill" page is shown below.
All of the elements of this website were fully designed which included all of the coding. Below is an image of the css style guide page, for the Fish of Minnesota: Partial Field Guide, which stylized all of the content and look of the pages.
This website had an overall style guide for the pages of the site, which can be seen in the example below.
Below is the visual research that was completed for inspiration before the designing part of the project began. These four different examples helped to create the eventual overall feel of the illustrations and the general clean layout of this website.
